What a crazy week for incoming! So much cool new stuff not sure where to begin but let's start with Colombia. This might be the coolest shipment we've gotten from there all year. First up are the Weitzmani aka Black Morpho Tetras. Don't believe we've ever had these come through before and if we have it's been years. This highly sought after rare species acts more like a Darter than a Tetra and is absolutely exquisite looking as an adult. Next up are the Orange Redtail Tetras. This is another fairly uncommon species that we have not had in a very long time. These got here late last night and are already showing incredible color. But the biggest surprise for this shipment has to be the Discus Tetras. I have to admit I was pretty skeptical about bringing these in since they look kinda plain in most pics I've seen. However that changed after we got them in last night as these are pretty impressive in real life. Pics do not do them justice. Looks like a cross between a Silver Dollar and a Black Skirt but super metallic with an iridescent stripe going down the middle of the body.
In addition to some of the new Tetras we got in wild Apistogramma Bitaeniata for the first time in forever. Like most wild types the batch came in very mixed both in terms of size and sex. There are some very nice males in the group and most people looking for these are seeking out pairs. If you somehow missed the opening title card we got in some gigantic Chameleon Whiptails this week. These do best best in fast moving, well oxygenated water so adding a circ pump is ideal. Green Farlowellas are in for only the second time. These adorable little algae munchers are already starting to show some color. These are related to but stay much smaller than their well known cousin. The South American Gar are mostly Marble types but there are a handful of striped in the mix. And last but not least we have a small handful of super nice 5-6" Peacock Bass available.
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago about how we had picked up a new Sri Lanka supplier and how impressed we were with the first shipment. Well that looks like that's going to continue to be the case moving forward because we have been getting some of the nicest livebearers I have seen in a long time. The Guppies are just absolutely outstanding. Color is top notch and they have been about as healthy as can be. Plus they produce some unique varieties we have to see from any other vendor. We keep brining in new types each and every week and each and every week we find some new favorites. This week there are two that blew us away and both are Moscow types. The Moscow Reds might be the best looking Guppy I have ever seen and that's no exaggeration. Giant bright red tails with purple bodies. When you check out the pic below you'll see what I'm talking about. The other are the Moscow Mosaic Tail. These are more like a variegated/lace type. Lotta nice pattern in the tails with some subtle differences in color from one individual to the next. But it wasn't just about Guppies this week. We also got in two new varieties of Molly. The Red Face Golden almost look they were crossed with a Variatus Platy. Name literally tells the story. And the same can be said for the Neon Orange with the exception that these are a bit heavier bodied.
Got in quite the haul when it comes to Florida raised Cichlids this week. My favorite is a repeat but that's because it's one of the best looking freshwater fish on the planet, medium Red Nyererei. I will put these up against just about any saltwater fish out there. Super bright red with yellow and green and bit blue accenting. Literally a swimming rainbow. Both medium and large assorted Peacocks got a nice restocking. Perfect for anyone just looking for a mix of super colorful Cichlids. Chocolates are back in 2" and 3" sizes but the latter are fairly limited so order early of you're wanting some of those. Mentioned regular Lyonsi last week but now we have them in at a medium size as well. 5" Bifasciatus are probably the best looking of all the Centrals this week. And if it's Geos you want it's Geos we got. New restocks on Balzani, Brasiliensis, Steindachneri and Heckelii.
Reach out to your rep if you have any questions.

Wild Apistogramma Bitaeniata are in for the first time in years! As you can tell this is a mixed sex group but that's a good thing because most people interested in wild Apistos are usually looking for pairs.
Orange Redtail Tetras look amazing! took this pic only a few minutes after they arrived and their color is already super bright. This is another one that we haven't had in ages.
New fish alert!!! Weitzmani aka Black Morpho Tetra are here for the first time! These almost look like Pencil Fish at the moment but once they settle in and start to color up they are one of the most impressive nano species there is.
This is what the Weitzmani aka Black Morpho Tetra will look like as adults.
Discus Tetras are definitely the sleeper pick for this week's Colombia shipment. Photo does not do these justice. Very metallic with an iridescent sheen almost like a Diamond Tetra but bigger.
Blue Flash Tetras are back this week and so far they look great. They can always be a little touchy in transit but this group looks to be holding up just fine. These are Colombia's answer to the Congo Tetra.
Agassizi Cories came in at a very nice size this week.
Pygmy are the only species of Cory Cat that seem to think they're a Tetra as they tend to school in the middle of the water column.
Green Farlowellas are already showing their namesake color. These stay smaller than it's common cousin therefore making them a perfect choice for smaller aquariums.
Featured the South American Gar last week where most of them are Marbled but there are some striped varieties in the mix as well.
5-6" Peacock Bass are eating like champs and look fantastic. One of if not THE best selling predatory species in the hobby.
Asia Imports
Rhino Gobies are the closest thing to a saltwater species you can get without having to go fall on salt. They do prefer slightly brackish conditions but so long as the water as hard with high pH 9like it is here) they typically do just fine.
Rainbow Gobies seem to be one of the hardiest species to come through here as they seem to be practically bullet proof.
Bumble Bee (BB) are the most popular Goby in "freshwater" for a reason, they're stupid cute.
Got in a handful of Knight Gobies this week.
Got a heavier restock on Dwarf Puffers this week. That being said they will still probably sell out in about five minutes so order early.
