Light week of incoming, but still plenty of standout rollovers
Hey folks,
We are only two weeks away from the Starfire Red® Gourami launch so I hope everyone is as pumped about this exciting new addition as we are. If you didn't get a chance to see them in person at Aquashella Orlando or Global then trust me when I say they look every good as the pic if not better. These really are amazing and are sure to be a huge hit with all aquarists. We have been "leaking" out pics and videos on social media and the response has been huge. These might be even more anticipated than the Angels were so be ready to order when these go up for sale starting the week of May 3rd!
In other fish news I can't remember the last time our Pleco selection was this full. Still have decent numbers on Orange Seam L-81 and Gold Nugget L-18. Yellow Edge are still my favorite of the "newer types. Got plenty of Green Phantoms ranging from regular to XL. L-75 Yellow Spots are still one of the overall best looking. But I will say the one we are starting to get low on are the L-114 Redfin Cactus. Once those are gone that'll probably be it for quite some time do don't miss out.
So not only do we have a ton of Plecos but probably the largest selection of Geos in recent memory. First and foremost are the Altifrons. These very rarely come in as imports anymore and anyone looking to set these up for breeding is going to be looking for F0 bloodlines for broodstock. Next up (and my personal favorite) are the Retroculus Lapidifers. While not technically a Geo they are closely related. These bottom dwelling beauties go for big bucks as 1" far east raised juveniles so these are one of the more highly sought after species. And last for the imported Geos are everyone's favorite and the most classic, Jurapari. These have sustained popularity over the years for a reason. For captive raised we still have a handful of Sveni available this week but they are running low so act quickly of you want a shot at some. We also have some gorgeous 4" Brasiliensis and are expecting some 5" in later today as well. I have Heckelii on order but no confirmation on those yet so be sure to check with your rep if you're looking for some.
And speaking of having a plethora of a certain type of Cichlid then look no further than our selection of Severums this week. Not sure if they've all made it on the list yet or not so if you don't see something you want just ask. Not only to we have regular Greens in for the first time in a bit but we also have Red Spotted Gold, Red Spotted Turquoise, Red Rainbow and wild Liberifers. In addition to Severums it's been a great week for incoming Cichlds as a whole. Blue Sequoia Convicts aka Honduran Red Points are back in for the first time in ages. Mentioned these last week but since the regulars are still on hiatus medium Firemouths look great and make for a perfect substitute. Got a handful of 4" Green Terrors available but they are going fast. And to top things off we have some limited gems coming in later today so be sure to check out the "Due-in" section down below.
I don't usually mention bread and butter stuff here in the opening monologue because well, they're bread and butter. But I'm breaking the mold this week cuz we got some noteworthy mentions this week. I'll start with the Cherry Barbs cuz holy cow are they fantastic. Huge and male heavy. We also got in some Veiltails but these are often limited so don't sleep on these. Also in Barbs we got in some of the nicest looking Green Tigers I've seen in nearly a year. Much bigger than what has been coming in for quite some time. For Swords Marigold Wags slipped into the #1 spot this week. But I will say the Kohaku are still running huge, just not very many males in that mix. Rainbows are starting to come in bigger and bigger each week which is typical for this time of year. My top picks for this week are the Celebese and the Signifers. While both are dwarf species they are both oversized and look great. For everything else please check out the pics below. Hope everyone continues to be as busy as we are and be sure to check out our socials for the latest news and updates about what's happening here on the farm!

| Starfire Red® Gourami launch is now two weeks away! Check out our socials for videos and the latest updates on this awesome new addition. |
| Starfire Red® Angels are still shipping in good numbers. And don't be surprised if you get a couple the the patterned beauties in the mix. |
| Sunburst Orange® Pristella |
| Electric Green® Pristella |
| Galactic Purple® Danio |
| Starfire Red® Danio |
| Retroculus Lapidifers are THE coolest wild SA Cichlid we have in house. I highly recommend you google a pic of these as adults. You'll not only want them to have for sale but you'll want to take some home for yourself. Very uncommon bottom dwelling "Geo" type Cichlid that hobbyists will scour the Earth in search of. |
| And speaking of wild Geos we have some Jurapari still available. These are big enough where there are starting to show the pearlescence coloration that has made them the most popular species of Geophagus for decades. |
| And since we're all about themes this week I can't talk about Geos without mentioning the Altifrons. Got a few mediums available along with a decent number of regulars. These do NOT come around often and are highly coveted by collectors. |
| I have finally given up on trying to get a decent pic of the Redfin Cactus Plecos so here is the best I could do. Good thing is that even in a blurry pic they look awesome. |
| Got Colombian Snowballs in at a medium size now. About 20% bigger than the regulars and well worth the extra dough. |
| I keep showing the Yellow Spot Plecos for two reasons. One, it has a stupid name that makes zero sense. They are not yellow nor are their spots. Two, they are my favorite Pleco of all time. So every time we have them you're getting a pic of them. |
| At least the Yellow Edged Pleco has a name that makes a bit more sense, it does have yellow edges (barely). But nomenclature notwithstanding these are one of the coolest Plecos we've gotten in a while. Pics really don't do it justice. I do a double take every time I walk past their tank. |
| Four Line Pim Cats came in about as nice as they ever have. Great size and just super solid all around. |
| Wish I could get a pic of the Gardneri in the hand this week but the little buggers just won't sit still long enough. These are the biggest I have seen come through here yet. And while they came in as "mixed sex" the group is very male heavy. |
| Red Panda Barbs are big enough that as soon they're over substrate they'll color up up. Arguably one of the best looking Barb species as adults |
| "Floating Heads" aka Balloon Red Eye Tetras got a restock this week. Said it before and I'll say it again, goofy lookin balloon fish sell. |
| Yup. Dwarf Puffers again. You're welcome. |
| Chili Oscars are nice and fat this week. On e of those variants everyone should be carrying when thier available. |
| Flowerhorns may be considered an abomination by some but no matter your opinion on them they are always in demand. Even if they are evil as adults lol. |
| Electric Blue Rams have been very scarce for whatever reason lately but did manage to get a handful this week. |
| All I keep hearing from everyone is how huge nano tank sales continue to be. So with that being said the Black Tiger Badis are without question the best looking nano fish in house this week. |
| I haven't featured these lately because they continue to come in in such limited numbers but we might actually have some available this week. Blue Pinoys are one of the more underrated captive strains of Angels. |
| When I say we have the world's largest Penguin Tetras in stock this it is NOT an exaggeration. I swear I didn't know they could get this big! |
| These are probably THE nicest Emperor Tetras I have ever seen come through here. Ton of males showing full color. We rarely get them this big so stock up while you can, numbers are limited. |
| Bleeding Hearts are massive this week. Color is super bright as well. If you're not stocking these you are really missing out. |
| If you couldn't tell by now I'm on a bit of a theme of all things running big and the Bloodfins fit right in this week. Seems a bit early in the year to have this much oversized stuff but I'm not complaining. |
| Black Neons look to be getting restocked with a bit more consistency this week. Size ranges from average to holy hell are those huge. So no matter which you get they're gonna sell well for you. |
| Size on the Colombian Tetras went down but the color went way up. Baby blue bodies with with blood red fins. Some of the best ones we've gotten in a while. |
| Veiltail Cherry Barbs are in stock! No idea for how long so put some on your order now! |
| Cherry Barbs are running so big they could almost pass for Rosy Barbs! |
| Checkerboard Barbs once again are big enough where you can actually see why they're named that. Solid size and color is really starting to come through. |
| Green Tiger Barbs are about twice the size they have been over the past few months. Now that being said they have been tiny so while these are not huge by any means they are very close to a medium size. |
| Best Sword of the week award goes to the Marigold Wags. But FYI Kohakus are still the biggest. If you need a reference photo check out last week's email. |
| XL Platies are definitely that this week, XL. About as big as they get with super bright color. |
| We're getting closer and closer to summertime so of course that means it's Rainbow season lol. But seriously we are seeing size increases across the board on all the Florida raised ones and the Celebese are a perfect example of that. |
| One day I'll get a decent pic of the Black Rams so everyone can see that when these guys are displaying towards each other the y are BLACK. This one is showing the "resting" coloration. |
| 4" Green Terrors have great color but full transparency tails are a bit rough. However that not withstanding these are still one of the Central/Southy values here right now. |
| We mentioned the large Firemouths last week but we also got in some pretty decent mediums as well. These should help take the place of regulars for the time being as those have in very much in short supply. |
| If you've never tried Honduran Red Points you should. It's basically a fancy Convict with less attitude and much better color. |
| Managuense aka Jaguar Cichlids are arguably one of the most attractive "tank busters" in the hobby. If you don't believe me then scroll down to the "Due-in" and you'll see the larger ones we're expecting later today that prove my point. |
| Red Spot Gold Severums got restocked with selects and a handful of mediums this week. |
| Same as above goes for the Rainbow Severums as far as sizes go. Really cant go wrong with either but the bigger ones are definitely showing a ton of color. |
| On yet another theme here. Basically if you're need of Severums we got you covered in just about every size and variant you could ask for including the Red Spot Turquoise. |
| Medium Assorted male Peacocks got a restock late last week and as usual there are some fantastic OBs in the mix. |
| In addition to OBs the medium mix male Peacocks also have some solid colors as well including this Blue Regal mix. |
| Got a few (and I do mean few) show piece Peacocks from Global available this week. All are absolute stunners |
| Medium Hap Moorii are back after a brief hiatus. This is pretty representative of the average size. |
| Yellow Albino Swallowtail Peacocks are back n stock this week. These are probably the brightest of all albino variants. |
| Even got a few males starting to pop thus proving my point about the Albino Swallowtails. |
| Star Sapphire Phenochilus somehow managed to fly under the radar the past couple of weeks but they just keep getting better looking with each passing day they're here. |
| Now that they have had a chance to settle in the Tomato Haps are showing their more typical coloration compared to last week. Still amazing looking and dollar one of the best looking fish here on the farm. |
| Rustys are an all time classic Mbuna for a reason. Although I've always felt the name was a bit unjustified. But i suppose that's easier to put on a price list than "Purple with burnt orange edges Mbuna fish" lol. |
| 2" Leopard Discus are in for the first time on over a month. |
| 2" Assorted once again have a great variety in the mix including Cobalts, Pigeon Bloods and Marlboros. |
| Anything other than "regular" size has been tough to come by for EB Acaras the past couple of weeks but we are expecting everything from medium to jumbo later today so check with your rep for availabiity. |
| Fredrichstahli aka Yellow Jackets are due in at both a 2" and 3" size this afternoon. These are a slightly less aggressive relative of Jaguars with a yellow cast to them. |
| I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one. Last time we got in 5" Jags they lasted about five minutes before they were sold out and I expect the same will happen with these. |
| Brasiliensis are probably the most aggressive Geo there is but they are also one of the best looking. 5" are expected sometime today but we also have some very nice 4" available of you're looking for something a little less murdery (they get more aggressive with age). |
